VTScadaFest 2020, a landmark event in the VTScada community
Held in early March 2020 at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando, Florida, VTScadaFest 2020 marked the biggest users’ conference in Trihedral’s history. Hundreds of consultants, integrators, and end users from around the world gathered for a sold-out week of training, presentations, and hands-on workshops.
A Spirit of Innovation and Fairness
Trihedral President and Chief Software Architect Glenn Wadden opened the event with a heartfelt keynote that reflected the company’s values. He shared stories about Trihedral’s early days and the philosophy of co-founder Rob Spencer, whose legacy of fairness and excellence continues to shape the company’s culture. “We’re not chasing trends,” Wadden said. “We’re thinking about the problems.”
More of Everything
VTScadaFest 2020 doubled the number of accelerated training courses from the previous year, helping new users build a strong foundation and allowing experienced integrators to earn advanced status. The Developers’ Den was the largest yet, buzzing with users eager to share goals and get direct feedback from VTScada’s core programmers.
Attendees also got a detailed look at VTScada Version 12, with sessions covering new features and practical applications across industries.
Time for Fun
The event wasn’t all business. Participants tested their skills in a VTScada-themed Escape Room Challenge, solving software-based puzzles in a fictional hazardous environment. The fully catered networking social at Howl at the Moon featured live entertainment—including a band that serenaded the crowd with a song about VTScada 12.
More Than Just Software
VTScadaFest 2020 was a chance to experience Trihedral’s unique corporate culture firsthand. It wasn’t just about learning software—it was about building relationships, sharing ideas, and celebrating the people behind the technology.
VTScadaFest 2020 set a new standard for user engagement and community building. It laid the foundation for even more ambitious events in the years to come, proving that when you combine innovation with heart, great things happen.
